Heal. Grow. Bounce Back and Overcome.
Whatever life throws your way, whether it be work, marriage, children or family, exploring the impacts is the first step to addressing what you’re facing and understanding how you want to deal with it. You do not need to do that alone.
Our Services
Discover a space where your thoughts and feelings are listened to, not judged. This session is about real conversations focused on what matters to you, helping you navigate life's challenges, find clarity, and build practical strategies for feeling or being better. No labels, no pressure, just a supportive conversation tailored to your pace and goals.
These sessions offer a safe and nurturing space for children, designed to help them cope and understand living with parents engaged in the stresses of life, high-demand professions, and the world in general. Designed to support young minds, these meetings encourage healthy emotional expression, strengthen resilience, and teach effective coping skills tailored to help them regulate, meet emotional needs, and navigate the demanding world of being a child today. Through compassionate support and age-appropriate approaches, I empower children to thrive emotionally and sustain meaningful family bonds, even amidst the challenges of a busy household.
Couples sessions designed for partners navigating the challenges of demanding careers provide a supportive space to rebuild connection, foster communication, and help find the “spark” that it feels like the demands of life has taken away. These meetings focus on understanding the unique pressures that intense professional responsibilities bring, helping couples develop effective strategies to balance work stress and personal, emotional needs. Through guided conversations and practical tools, partners learn to strengthen their relationship, improve emotional intimacy, find a productive way to have difficult conversations, and foster resilience amid high-stakes environments.
Navigating the challenges of life and demanding careers while maintaining the healthy family dynamic you see on TV or other families seem to do so effortlessly can be difficult. Family sessions provide a supportive space where parents and children come together, and work together, to improve communication, set realistic expectations, and foster understanding amidst busy schedules and demanding lives. These guided conversations help families build stronger connections, address stressors, and create strategies to balance professional responsibilities with enjoyable quality time at home, overcoming life’s challenges together, as a family.
Schedule a complimentary phone consultation
A phone consultation is necessary to find out if we can work together, whether our scheduling lines up, and how the cost of therapy will be managed. I specialize in working with a broad range of issues, and in the unlikely event that I cannot address your specific needs, I will be able to provide a referral to a competent, effective colleague who can. Taking this first step can be daunting, but it will be one you are glad you’ve made.
About Me
Vito Skidmore is a trainee Professional Clinical Counselor (PCC) and Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) currently expanding his expertise while studying at Pepperdine University. As a Trainee, I cannot accept my own clients and do not currently have availability. After being assigned as a Victim Advocate assisting survivors of sexual violence with overcoming their experience and seeking justice while in the United States Air Force, Vito found a passion for uplifting people after difficult experiences and a zeal for the healing and growth that can occur as people overcome their obstacles. As a military veteran and former military spouse, and child of veterans and first responder, Vito brings a unique and profound understanding of the challenges faced by service members, first responders, and their families. His background is deeply influenced by his family’s commitment to public service, with a father who served as a fireman and EMS professional and a mother who was a Marine Corps veteran. This blend of personal and familial experience fuels his passion for providing compassionate, informed therapeutic support to first responder, military, and veteran communities as well as the families impacted by that lifestyle, culture, and demanding work.
